The US deported its first group of Venezuelan migrants on Wednesday, following a breakthrough after years of refusal from the government in Caracas.
The deportation came amid a wider crackdown on migrants and a thaw of frosty relations with the South American country.
A Boeing 737 jet took off from Harlingen, Texas, for Caracas via Miami, and carried around 130 passengers. The socialist government in Venezuela previously refused to accept deportees, though reached a deal to allow it earlier this month.
Around 7.7mn Venezuelans have fled their country in recent years, according to the United Nations, with over 22,000 illegally crossing into the US in August alone.
