Houston-based Regional Leader Calvetti Ferguson has acquired Dallas-based CPA firm Gummer Group LLC, effective Dec. 1.
A tax-focused CPA firm, Gummer Group serves high-net-worth clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with a focus on family offices. It also have experience serving clients in real estate, and oil and gas.
Terms of the deal were not released, but the combined Dallas-Fort Worth offices are expected to have over 75 employees. Calvetti Ferguson ranked No. 10 in Accounting Today’s Southwest Regional Leaders list, with $31 million in revenue and over 150 employees.
“With the addition of Gummer Group, our Dallas office will increase its headcount by 25%,” said Jason Ferguson, managing partner at Calvetti Ferguson, in a statement. “This acquisition will double our family office practice, enhance our expertise, and add to Calvetti Ferguson’s brand and market depth in the Dallas market.”
