IFAC starts search for new CEO
ShareShareShareShareShare

The International Federation of Accountants is looking for an outstanding individual to become its next leader.

The global organization, which includes members and associates in over 130 jurisdictions, is seeking a candidate who would join IFAC late this year to facilitate an orderly transition from current CEO Kevin Dancey, who has served as CEO since 2018 and announced in March his intention to step down at the end of 2023.

The successful candidate for the CEO role would need to have a keen interest in and deep personal commitment to IFAC’s vision and purpose: to serve the public interest by promoting the value of professional accountants worldwide; speaking out on public interest issues where the accountancy profession’s expertise is most relevant; developing strong professional accountancy organizations and accounting firms; and supporting the development, adoption and implementation of high-quality international standards.

IFAC has retained the executive search firm Korn Ferry to look for a new leader in conjunction with an IFAC CEO Search Committee, chaired by IFAC past president Alan Johnson. They are actively engaging IFAC member organizations, the accounting community, and other stakeholders and encourage a diverse and international applicant base.

International Federation of Accountants CEO Kevin Dancey

The full job specification can be found here. It includes a link where qualified applicants can submit indications of their interest. Referrals for potential candidate names and contact information can be emailed to Sara.Curley@kornferry.com.
