Citrin Cooperman, a Top 25 Firm in New York, has acquired Mibar, a business software consulting firm also located in New York.

The deal will add Mibar’s two partners, over 30 employees and more than $12 million in revenue to the firm. Citrin ranked No. 21 on Accounting Today‘s 2023 list of the Top 100 Firms. The firm earns about $700 million in annual revenue and has over 450 partners and 2,800 employees. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition also expands Citrin Cooperman’s existing digital services practice, led by managing partner Eric Casazza. Mibar specializes in enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management software, along with business intelligence, artificial intelligence, NetSuite and Microsoft technology.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mibar to Citrin Cooperman,” said Citrin Cooperman CEO Alan Badey in a statement Wednesday. “This acquisition represents a strategic growth opportunity for us as Mibar brings a wealth of experience and a strong reputation in business software solutions. We’re excited to welcome MIBAR’s team of talented professionals and deliver our robust portfolio of services, innovative solutions and greater value to our collective clients.”

Mibar’s services complement Citrin Cooperman’s existing capabilities. “Joining Citrin Cooperman has been an exciting opportunity for us and our clients, who can look forward to access to a broader set of resources and expertise,” said Mibar president and CEO Bart Nachimow in a statement.

Citrin Cooperman has been doing a string of M&A deals since receiving private equity funding in 2021 from New Mountain Capital. Earlier this month, Citrin Cooperman acquired Coleman Huntoon & Brown PLLC, a firm based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Last November, Citrin added Gettry Marcus, a Regional Leader based in Woodbury, New York. In June, it added FMT Consultants, a California-based consulting firm. Last February, it added Berdon, a Top 50 Firm based in New York. In 2022, Citrin acquired Murray Devine Valuation Advisors, an independent advisory firm headquartered in Philadelphia, Untracht Early, an accounting firm in Florham Park, New Jersey, Shepard Schwartz & Harris in Chicago, Kingston Smith Barlevi in Los Angeles, McNulty & Associates in Westford, Massachusetts, Appelrouth, Farah & Co. in Coral Gables, Florida, Bloom, Gettis & Habib in Miami, as well as music industry consultancy Massarsky Consulting in New York. In November 2021, it added OLC Management, a California-based business management firm.
