New Stanley Cup line is coming to Target
ShareShareShareShareShare

Is Stanley Cup fever still running red hot? We’ll get a good indication later this month.

Target and Stanley are teaming up once again for an exclusive line of the enormous tumblers. They’re scheduled to hit shelves next week.

The Sunshine Vibes Collection will go on sale in brick-and-mortar stores on March 24, then via Target’s website on March 27. It’s a line that fits well with spring and summer and will likely be a popular gift at Easter. The question is, will fans go into quite the same frenzy they did two-and-a-half months ago?

When Target, Stanley and Starbucks teamed up for a line of Valentine’s Day cups, people began camping outside of Target stores to get the special edition. Some enthusiastic fans of the cups have spent over $3,000 to collect every variety that’s available.

The last line of cups quickly ended up on Ebay, with rabid fans paying between $150 to over $400 per cup.

The Stanley tumblers have become a sensation, as well as a source of confusion for those who don’t understand their popularity. Generation Z is the biggest booster, singing its praises on TikTok and other social media channels, but it’s equally as popular with millennials and even some of Generation X. Baby boomers, who typically aren’t found on TikTok, are a bit less enamored with the cups.

There will be a bit more variety this time with this launch. In addition to four new designs of the 40-ounce tumbler (going for $45 each), Target will also offer two sizes of its Flip Straw Tumblers ($30) and 20-ounce “all-day slim bottles” (also $30).

Stanley is also using the opportunity to launch a new collection of stainless steel pitchers, flasks, coolers, cocktail shakers and more.
