Top 25 firm Armanino announced the rollout of its TaxAdvantage software solution, which will be used by both the firm’s own professionals and its clients to collaboratively manage corporate tax engagements in the same platform.

The software features a client dashboard that provides a personalized view of tax projects, engagement action markers and summary insights. This is combined with a live tax calendar that offers real-time visibility into key filing deadlines, due dates and return status, as well as a notice tracker that uses AI-enabled automation to analyze and centralize tracking of notices from tax authorities.
The platform also supports document submission and tracking on both ends of the engagement, which Armanino said can serve to reduce back-and-forth communication between the client and the team. Both sides will also be able to access a Deliverables Hub that serves as a centralized repository for work products like tax returns and supporting documents. Teams and clients can also access secure in-platform messaging via the Communication Hub.

TaxAdvantage was developed in-house by Armanino’s tax technology and client experience teams to serve as a single source of truth between clients and staff. While the product was just released, Armanino is already planning upgrades. The firm said it intends to eventually introduce AI-enabled document mapping, which will automatically identify and organize client files, matching them to the right requests.
Armanino has been making regular technology investments both internally as well as through partners.
