One in six young people will not be in work or training in five years without action, report warns

According to the figures from the Office for National Statistics, there were 1,012,000 young people classed as Neet between January and March 2026, the equivalent to over one in eight people in that age category. It is an increase of 89,000 compared with the same period last year.
