“This is an exciting step forward for both firms,” Kernutt Stokes managing partner Steve Ritchie said in a statement Monday. “Fordham has built a strong reputation and longstanding client relationships over many decades, and we share a common approach to serving clients and supporting employees. Together, we are creating greater opportunities for our clients and staff while continuing to provide the local, relationship-driven service that clients value.”

Kernutt Stokes, based in Eugene, Oregon, is an Accounting Today Regional Leader in the West with nearly $23 million in revenue. It specializes in privately held and family-owned companies in construction, manufacturing, transportation, beverage and professional services. The firm is an independent member of BDO Alliance USA.

“Kernutt Stokes was the right fit for our clients, our employees and the future of the firm,” Katie Eyre, partner at Fordham & Co, said in a statement. “Their culture, values, and commitment to client service closely align with ours, and joining a larger Oregon-based firm provides expanded resources and opportunities while preserving the personal relationships that have always been important to us.”
