Who will be at the mega sessions?
ShareShareShareShareShare

HR Tech Conference mega sessions feature popular speakers and topics, and this year there are 11 of them on the agenda. Of course, our team has all of these circled in bright yellow—we can’t wait to snag our seats in these rooms. In addition to tackling some of today’s most pressing HR and tech challenges, many of these sessions feature members of the just-released Top 100 HR Tech Influencers of 2023 list—so, it’s the perfect opportunity to see what makes them so inspiring.

Wondering what the editorial team has on our minds as we plan to attend these sessions? Just like the audience (which promises to be one of the biggest ever), we’ve got questions.

Here’s what we are most excited to learn from each of the 2023 mega sessions, which are described in full here.

Hyperscale Your Talent Engine

Betsy Summers, principal analyst at Forrester Research, will speak about alternative pools of talent as a top priority for growth strategy. We are curious how upskilling will fit into HR plans in the next year, and how this practice can fuel talent pipelines. How can new tech make this happen efficiently?

What is Your HR Tech “Credit Score”? Tech Debt and the Art of ROI

Mark Stelzner

Kimberly Carroll and Mark Stelzner, principals at IA, have a unique perspective on HR tech investments. They say spending is growing, yet many organizations aren’t realizing the full benefits of tech. With so many interesting tech tools hitting the market, we look forward to hearing from this duo about how to maximize dollars and outcomes.

AI and the CHRO: Balancing the Power of Technology With the Human Touch

Trish Steed, CEO and principal analyst at H3 HR Advisors, will uncover factors CHROs must consider when adopting AI technology for people processes. We are looking forward to hearing how the human perspective can prevent AI from producing unintended or unethical results and how CHROs can educate their teams on this crucial consideration.

Skills Strategy and the Tech that Powers It

Dani Johnson, RedThread Research; HR Tech Conference: Who will be at the mega sessions?
Dani Johnson

Stacia Garr and Dani Johnson, co-founders and principal analysts at RedThread Research, designed this session to help HR leaders decipher meaningful skills-based strategies. They say there are six elements that employers should consider when constructing a skills game plan. We are ready to hear their take on this increasingly important topic, as the industry focuses on skills-based hiring.

The Changing Face of Talent Acquisition Technology

Madeline Laurano, co-founder of Aptitude Research Partners, and Tim Sackett, CEO of HRUTech.com, will discuss the changing market for TA technologies. We are prepped to hear them share how the talent tech environment has evolved this year and what’s coming next.

Flexible Work for All: 5 Ways CHROs Are Leading the Future of Work

Lani Montoya; HR Tech Conference: Who will be at the mega sessions?
Lani Montoya

This HR Tech conference panel—moderated by Executive Networks’ Jeanne Meister—features CHROs Dr. Archana Arcot, Lani Montoya, Valerie Norton and Tracie Sponenberg. It will dive into exclusive research on why the future of flexible work needs to be inclusive for both knowledge and frontline workers. We are eager to hear how tech can make this happen.

Navigating the Risks and Opportunities of Generative AI

Rebecca Wettemann, CEO and principal analyst at Valoir Inc., will point out the greatest opportunities for intelligent AI automation of HR processes. We are ready to see how the audience learns how to build an AI readiness checklist for their organization. This is something that many analysts say is essential.

AI and HR: Implications … and Opportunities

Kevin Oakes, i4cp; HR Tech Conference: Who will be at the mega sessions?
Kevin Oakes

On a recent HRE webinar, Katheryn Brekken and Kevin Oakes of i4cp told the audience that 42% of leaders they surveyed are exploring what AI can do for their organizations. (Replay the session here.) This was based on preliminary research, and we are definitely game to be in the room when they debut their full insight.

Transatlantic Transformations: European HR Tech Trends that U.S. Leaders Can’t Ignore

European analysts Mervyn Dinnen and Matt Alder of Two Heads Consulting will discuss HR technology solutions that organizations need to invest in to supercharge their European businesses. This is very interesting to us, as we look forward to the HR Technology Conference Europe, which will be held in Amsterdam May 2-3, 2024.

Transformation and Transformation That Works for the Organization

Industry analyst, consultant and author Brian Sommer of TechVentive, Inc., will demonstrate how big ideas can actually come to life. We look forward to hearing his take on the practical methods HR leaders need to turn new capabilities and outcomes into realities.

Digital You: Thriving in Today’s World

Jason Averbook and Jess Von Bank, both from Mercer | Leapgen, have been some of our go-to sources for adopting AI in HR with a digital mindset. They are also a fan favorite at the HR Tech Conference. We look forward to seeing everyone walk away from this one feeling more inspired and ready to push some boundaries.
