The Association for Accounting Marketing presented a group of individuals and firms with its annual awards.
Lucas LaChance, partner of practice growth at Lane Gorman Trubitt, received AAM’s 2023 Marketer of the Year award, honoring a marketing professional who has demonstrated exemplary performance in the profession of accounting marketing. The winner was announced Monday at AAM’s Annual Summit.
In his role at LGT, LaChance leads the firm’s brand visibility, awareness and engagement strategies.
“Since 2015, I have established processes and procedures within the department that would best match the focus of the firm’s overall strategy each year,” LaChance said in a statement. “Last year was the firm’s best year in terms of new business revenue with practice growth contributing 53% of the firm’s total new revenue directly through business development initiatives and inbound marketing.”
AAM also announced the recipients of its individual Marketing Achievement Awards Monday evening during the Annual Summit. Carrie Steffen, president of The Whetstone Group was inducted into the Association for Accounting Marketing Hall of Fame
Joe Kovacs, director of marketing and business development with Councilor, Buchanan and Mitchell was named Volunteer of the Year.
Lily Morris, communications specialist at Johnson Lambert, was honored as Rookie of the Year. AAM also presented the winners in its Marketing Achievement Awards in multiple categories, including advertising, branding, business development initiative, collateral and content marketing, events, marketing and PR campaigns, video and multimedia, website, corporate social responsibility and diversity, equity and inclusion.
