Bhawna Bist leads Deloitte’s workforce and talent acquisition transformation practice, guiding clients through their TA transformation journey. This involves everything from strategic planning and designing candidate experiences to implementing technology that enhances talent acquisition processes.
At the recent HR Tech conference, Bist told HR Executive that Deloitte’s vendor partners are “solving real-world problems” by addressing common use cases with their technologies. In this video interview, she provides an example of a partnership between one of Deloitte’s healthcare clients and a tech vendor that fully captured the specialized nature of nurse hiring and adapted the technology accordingly.
Bist noted the rapid pace of technological change, particularly in AI, and highlighted the importance of adopting these advancements with ethical and human-centered considerations in mind. She also stressed the need for alignment with organizational strategy and processes to ensure a successful TA transformation.
According to Bist, HR tech can be a powerful problem-solving tool when evaluated properly. In her role, she helps clients gain clarity on core problem statements. “Sometimes the problem statements may have a root cause which is not technology,” Bist says. “It may be a process issue. It may be an experience issue. It may be a strategy disconnect.”
Bist sat down with HR Executive HR Tech Editor Jill Barth at HR Tech for a video interview to discuss the integration of strategy, experience, process and technology for a holistic approach to workforce transformation.
