People analytics provider Visier is making a big move into the Asia-Pacific area by launching an AI lab and expanding its regional office in Singapore. To support the effort over the next two years, the company plans to double its workforce in the lab and the APAC regional office. According to Visier, the move supports its focus on providing cutting-edge workforce AI solutions.
According to Lee Boon Huat, Visier’s chief growth officer Asia-Pacific, organizations must rethink the traditional concept of workforce management.
“Workforce is no longer just people—it’s people and technology,” Lee told HRM Asia. “Many organizations need to understand not only what their employees are doing and how engaged they are, but also how their work directly contributes to business outcomes. It’s not just about how hard you work, but what you produce.”
However, achieving this level of insight is far from simple. Organizations need to integrate data from multiple sources—people data, work data and financial data—to draw meaningful conclusions.
“It requires a lot of effort to bring all the data together,” Lee said. “But once you do, you can optimise work to produce better outcomes.”

The complexity of workforce management is increasing, driven by technological advancements and the need for businesses to adapt quickly. “Organizations now have to shapeshift their workforce constantly,” Lee said. “How much work stays with people? How much is handled by AI? How much can be done remotely? Organizations must optimize resource deployment, and AI plays a crucial role in providing the intelligence needed to make those decisions.”
Visier AI Lab aims to support companies by leveraging AI to help with that. “AI is not just about automation,” he said. “It’s about feeding intelligence into the process—helping organizations uncover trends, interpret data and deliver insights at speed and scale.”
Rather than requiring HR teams to sift through dashboards, Visier’s AI solutions, like Vee, integrate into the flow of work. “The most important thing is getting answers in real time, without disruption,” Lee said. “AI should anticipate the questions HR professionals will ask and provide insights with supporting data, including historical trends and predictive analytics. This enables faster, data-driven decision-making.”
Visier also has introduced Vee Boards, which it says will enhance a real-time, data-driven approach. These AI-augmented insight boards are focused on specific issues of the highest priority to the C-suite. Visier says Vee Boards goes beyond traditional dashboards by stitching together relevant data, finding critical signals within the noise and providing actionable recommendations. This helps executives receive the right insights at the right time, Visier says, with the help of generative AI.
And as AI becomes more embedded in HR processes, professionals must embrace this shift. “It’s not a choice,” Lee said. “HR must evolve. It’s no longer an option to stay status quo—survival depends on the ability to adapt quickly.”
