Stories of businesses paying low tax rates abound, but you rarely hear about companies at the other end of the spectrum — those that pay the highest tax rates.

The list below ranks the S&P companies with the highest corporate tax rates in 2022, with the top five companies having an average overall tax rate of 43.32%. The average overall tax rate across all S&P 100 companies is 18.87%.
