It also made a number of industry leadership appointments: Jon Waterman was appointed national industry leader for financial services; Joe Kaczmarek was appointed sector lead for specialty finance; Chris Murphy was appointed leader for two new business and professional services sectors, facility and environmental services and workforce solutions; Brendan Joosten was appointed to lead the national telecommunications, media and entertainment sector; Katie Landy was appointed national manufacturing sector leader; Anne Slattery was appointed national energy sector leader; Brandon Maves was appointed national construction and real estate industry leader; and Brandon Jones was appointed national construction sector leader. Separately, the firm released its Cybersecurity Special Report 2026 , examining cybersecurity trends affecting middle-market businesses. The study explores the gap between perceived security posture and actual threat exposure, risks from AI adoption outpacing governance, identity-based attacks and cybersecurity spending amid economic pressures.
