On the move: Eisner names a new cannabis leader

RSM US LLP, Chicago, announced several leadership appointments across the firm: Kerensa Butler was appointed as enterprise global leader; Adam Hallemeyer was appointed chief auditor, succeeding Sara Lord; and Valerie Wahl was appointed partner, and enterprise ethics and independence leader in the Office of Risk Management. In addition, the firm announced a number of appointments in consulting: Stacy Dow was named leader of the deal services practice; Bjorn Hill was named leader of the business applications practice; Thomas Dimino was named leader of the financial consulting practice; Ron Beck was named leader of the managed IT cloud and infrastructure practice; Ross Krusell was named leader of RSM Catamaran; Ana Minter was named consulting leader for AI go-to-market; John Harder was named consulting transatlantic integration leader; and Caitlin Hughes was named consulting operations leader. It also made a number of industry leadership appointments: Jon Waterman was appointed national industry leader for financial services; Joe Kaczmarek was appointed sector lead for specialty finance; Chris Murphy was appointed leader for two new business and professional services sectors, facility and environmental services and workforce solutions; Brendan Joosten was appointed to lead the national telecommunications, media and entertainment sector; Katie Landy was appointed national manufacturing sector leader; Anne Slattery was appointed national energy sector leader; Brandon Maves was appointed national construction and real estate industry leader; and Brandon Jones was appointed national construction sector leader. Separately, the firm released its Cybersecurity Special Report 2026, examining cybersecurity trends affecting middle-market businesses. The study explores the gap between perceived security posture and actual threat exposure, risks from AI adoption outpacing governance, identity-based attacks and cybersecurity spending amid economic pressures.

Sabera Choudhury and Faizal Karim have joined BRG, Chicago, as managing director and as a director, respectively, in the forensic accounting and investigations practice, Chicago.
