Capstone Accounting and Tax, based in Bend, Oregon, acquired North Star Tax & Accounting, based in Snohomish and Lynden, Washington, expanding Capstone’s presence in the Pacific Northwest.

North Star will integrate its operations under the Capstone brand, which has 13 offices in the Pacific Northwest and Mountain West regions, while continuing to offer its local client services.

Founded in 2008, North Star Tax and Accounting offers a full suite of tax and accounting services, including tax planning and preparation, client accounting services, assurance services, and more.
North Star leaders David Romano and Sheena Frenzel will continue their practices as partners within Capstone. “Joining Capstone is an exciting opportunity for our clients and our team,” said Romano in a statement. “Capstone’s commitment to local service models resonates with our core values, and we are eager to embark on this new chapter together.”
