CPAClub launches tech arm with PATHS learning platform

Accounting talent solutions provider CPAClub announced the launch of CPATech, an affiliated technology company focused on building software and digital experiences for accounting professionals. Its first offering, debuting at the same time, is a mobile learning platform, PATHS, which provides CPE via daily 10-minute lessons intended to fit naturally within an accounting professional’s workday. This is in contrast to concentrated training programs and long-form educational content that accountants take only a few times a year.

“Accounting is often referred to as the language of business, yet no one becomes fluent by attending a weeklong training course once a year,” said Ellen Sulistio, senior vice president of CPAClub, in a statement. “Fluency is built by making learning part of everyday work, where knowledge is reinforced, applied and expanded over time.” 

PATHS is an annual subscription. Users select Voyages, which are focused on a specific competency area. Each Voyage is made up of multiple Paths, and each Path is made up of daily Steps that develop knowledge and reinforce concepts over time. Lessons have gamified features like streaks and achievements to encourage consistency, engagement and friendly competition, helping make professional development a lasting habit. At launch, PATHS includes audit and tax Voyages to mirror the progressive curriculum traditionally delivered through multilevel audit and tax training programs, along with quality management learning for team members at every level of a firm.  

PATHS+ extends the experience through Coursechecks, CPAClub’s guided cohorts that help professionals reinforce key concepts, learn from one another, and receive guidance from experienced instructors. One-on-one career coaching from CPAClub employees supports professionals in pursuing their individual goals and advancing their careers. Chris Vanover, founder and president of CPAClub, said PATHS came from developing and teaching accounting and auditing for years and noticing that expertise is built gradually over time, not during a week of intense training or a single college semester. 

“We’ve always tried to identify the biggest challenges facing firms and build solutions around them. That led us to our subscription access passes for talent (Chiefs), quality management (Guardians), and technology and transformation (Pilots). PATHS was our answer to what we see as a broken approach to learning and development,” he said. 

Vancouver said PATHS is only the first of many planning solutions that CPATech executives will be developing. He said they have their eyes on a few other areas for future offerings but declined to share specifics. 

The news comes just two months after CPAClub announced that two company leaders have recently received global and state recognition for their contributions to the accounting profession (see previous story.) CPAClub associate chief Connor Crow was named the top honoree at Caseware’s inaugural 30 Under 30 Awards during CwX North America 2026 in Fort Lauderdale. The recognition program was created to identify and celebrate emerging professionals across audit, accounting and assurance who are embracing new technology, raising the bar on quality and integrity, and helping drive the profession forward. In addition, CPAClub senior vice president Sulistio was recently recognized as a 2026 20 Under 40 Accounting Influencer by CPA Practice Advisor and also received her second consecutive nomination for CalCPA’s Women to Watch Award.
