Grassi acquires OnePoint Franchise Accounting
ShareShareShareShareShare

Grassi, a Top 75 Firm based in New York, has acquired OnePoint Franchise Accounting, based in Denver, expanding its franchise services group with a number of restaurant and food franchise clients.

OnePoint has over 25 years of experience serving franchisees, franchisors, multiunit restaurant groups and other business owners across the sector. The deal will expand Grassi Franchise Services’ existing offerings and add the ability to serve a wider variety of ownership models across the industry, including large franchise rollups and private equity-sponsored groups. It also establishes Grassi’s presence in the Mountain West region, expanding its geographic footprint.

“This integration advances our strategy to meet clients wherever they operate, with the specialized knowledge they rely on to run and grow their businesses,” said Grassi CEO and managing partner Louis Grassi in a statement Thursday. “Together, we are expanding the tools and talent behind every engagement, strengthening the service quality and technical excellence for which both firms are known.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Grassi ranked No. 56 on Accounting Today‘s 2025 list of the Top 100 Firms, where Grassi reported revenue of $146.5 million with 58 partners and 407 professionals. With the addition of the OnePoint team, Grassi Franchise Services now includes over 100 professionals.

As part of the deal, two of OnePoint’s partners are joining Grassi, including Laura Wright as franchise business development leader, and Diana Mead, who will become co-president of Grassi Franchise Services alongside James Bohl.

“Joining Grassi is an exciting opportunity to expand our impact, deepen our capabilities and deliver with greater scale and speed for our clients,” Mead said in a statement. “The firm’s industry-focused approach strengthens our commitment to highly personalized service and deep sector expertise. We are proud to join a firm that shares these values and to be part of that mission.”

In 2023, Grassi set up an employee stock ownership plan and established an alternative practice structure, split the firm into two entities: Grassi Advisory Group, which performs advisory and tax services, and Grassi CPAs, which handles audit and attest work. Grassi Franchise Services is part of Grassi Advisory Services and has provided advisory, tax and accounting services to leading U.S. franchises for over 25 years.

In January, Grassi added Anstiss & Co., an accounting, tax and consulting firm based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. In 2021, Grassi acquired Gramkow, Carnevale, Seifert & Co. in Oradell, New Jersey, and S&Z Fund Services in New York. In 2020, it added Levine, Caufield, Martin & Goldberg in Needham, Massachusetts.
