The collaboration will coordinate programs to support students’ entry into accounting and related fields, create mentoring and networking opportunities for students, and develop programming to promote professional development and career advancement.

“When organizations come together around shared purpose, the impact multiplies,” Guylaine Saint Juste, president and CEO of NABA, said in a statement Tuesday. “This partnership with TSCPA is about building pathways that will shape the profession for generations to come. Together, we’re creating opportunities for students across Tennessee to see themselves in accounting, finance, and business leadership, and giving them the resources and support to get there.”

The TSCPA is the first state CPA society to offer joint student membership with NABA.

“TSCPA is committed to connecting and developing CPAs and aspiring CPAs through trusted relationships and resources,” Kara Fitzgerald, president and CEO of the TSCPA, said in a statement. “Partnering with NABA allows us to expand our reach and ensure that students from all backgrounds have access to the opportunities and support they need to thrive in this profession.”

This announcement follows NABA’s recent partnership with the Indiana CPA Society and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
